The most consequential conversation in history shouldn't happen in one language
I explain advanced AI and its risks so that Spanish speakers can understand what is happening, why it matters, and what can be done about it.

Why I do this
If you only speak Spanish, you are left out
Artificial intelligence is advancing at an unprecedented pace. Models keep getting more capable, companies compete without pause, and the decisions being made right now will shape the future of humanity.
There is a problem, though: almost all of the serious material on these questions is in English. The papers, the policy debates, the technical arguments that actually matter. If you only speak Spanish, you are left out of the most consequential conversation in our history.
You do not need to be an engineer or a researcher for AI to affect your life. It already does. Understanding how these systems work, who controls them, and where they are heading is not optional. And you deserve to be able to do it in your own language.

Hispanic AI Safety Initiative
There is more than one way to build this field
Nearly one in five Americans is Hispanic or Latino, yet the field building and governing advanced AI remains overwhelmingly English-speaking and disconnected from Latino communities. HASI exists to close that gap.
The Hispanic landscape in the United States
- 60M+
- U.S. Hispanic and Latino residents — one in five Americans
- 41M+
- speak Spanish at home — the largest non-English group
- 16M+
- eligible Latino voters with influence on federal AI policy
- 26.9%
- projected Hispanic share of the U.S. population by 2060
