Work

The work, in detail

Videos as @eltechbro, HASI as an organization, and communications at MIRI. Here is the detail on each.

01 · Creator

@eltechbro

Spanish-language content about artificial intelligence and AI safety, for technical and non-technical audiences. I translate what is being argued in English, explain why it matters, and produce original material about where all of this is heading. Plain language, and honesty about what we don't know.

02 · Founder

Hispanic AI Safety Initiative

HASI works to bring U.S. Hispanic communities into decisions about advanced artificial intelligence: educating people in Spanish and English, building the skills to work in the field, and connecting researchers, educators, and organizers already doing this work. It is early-stage, and includes bilingual explainers, talks, briefings, and research.

03 · Communications

Machine Intelligence Research Institute

I work in AI safety communications at MIRI. The challenge is the same one I face everywhere else: take difficult technical arguments about the risk from advanced AI and make them understandable without making them false.

Topics

What I speak about

If you're putting together a talk, a panel, a podcast, or a workshop, these are the areas where I can contribute most.

01

AI safety without the jargon

What it means for an advanced AI system to be dangerous, why many of the people building these systems are worried, and what is being done about it.

02

AI and the Spanish-speaking world

Why the language gap in the AI conversation is a question of power, and what gets lost when 600 million people sit outside the debate.

03

Communicating hard technical subjects

Learning design applied to topics that are frightening or abstract. What works, what doesn't, and why hype and panic fail for the same reason.

04

AI literacy for non-technical audiences

What an ordinary person genuinely needs to understand about these systems: how they work, who controls them, and where they are going.

Support and recognition

Who backs this work

This work exists because institutions are betting that the conversation about AI needs to be wider than it currently is.
